Earlier in the week, the referee, a man in his 50s, was hit in the head by the brother of one of the Spanish players and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Now, Sant Cebria themselves have reported the referee to the police for violence – and submitted a complaint where the club claims that the referee acted aggressively towards the players.

We have received a report against the victim and a case has been initiated. When the prosecution begins, he will automatically get the status of suspect, says Sasha Danest from the Norwegian police to VG.
