Until now, the requirement has been that 95 percent of all domestic letters should reach the addressee within two working days.
The new rules significantly relax the requirements. Instead, 85 percent of letters must now be delivered within three working days, and 97 percent within five working days, the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) writes on its website.
This also means that PTS is simultaneously making changes and adding the Postal Ordinance's new requirements to Postnord's permit conditions.
Postnord will continue to provide postal services for written messages up to two kilograms and certain package deliveries to vulnerable groups.
