The Social Democrats' cultural policy spokesperson, Björn Wiechel, says in a press release that the Swedish gaming industry is "a success story", but that Sweden risks losing its strong position "when politics lags behind."
The chairman of the Culture Committee, Mats Berglund (MP), says in the same press release that Sweden needs a national strategy for gaming and gaming culture, and that gaming culture needs clear recognition as a cultural expression.
Vasiliki Tsouplaki, cultural policy spokesperson for the Left Party, says that Sweden “needs to have a cultural policy that embraces many forms of expression.”
