The table, named the “Uniting Table,” is 5,055 meters long and was decorated with flowers and snacks. 20,000 visitors gathered around the table. During the event, the Romanian organization Bloom The World Association was awarded a certificate by Guinness World Records for “the world’s longest table made from recycled materials.”

The money raised during the event will go to a child psychiatric clinic of around 4,000 square meters within the Obregia hospital area in Bucharest.

The previous world record for the world's longest table made from recycled materials was also held by Bloom the World for a table that was 2,782 meters long.
