The man was sentenced by the Court of Appeal to eleven years and eight months in prison for running Flugsvamp 2.0, a now-closed marketplace for illegal drugs on the darknet.
Shortly before the verdict was to be announced, he fled Sweden and was wanted internationally, but on Friday he was deported from Turkey and landed in Sweden to begin serving his prison sentence, according to the police.
The man had cryptocurrency worth SEK 127.6 million held at a foreign crypto exchange. The cryptocurrency has been secured and sold, and the proceeds have gone to the state, according to the Swedish Prosecution Authority.
Correction: An earlier version of the text contained an incorrect description of how the man came to Sweden.
