It was a wholesale company that contacted customs on Monday morning about a container from Latin America, reports HD and Sydsvenskan.
According to prosecutor Måns Biörklund, the batch is estimated to weigh three tons, which would be a Swedish record. Based on the street price of cocaine, the seized batch would be worth between two and three billion kronor.
No one has yet been arrested for involvement in drug smuggling.
In April 2024, 1.3 tons of cocaine were seized in a container in Nynäshamn, a transport believed to have been organized by gang leader Ismail Abdo.
