Thai police have made a record-large seizure of methamphetamine: 1.6 tons.
The drugs were allegedly sent from Africa via India. The intended final destination is believed to have been Europe, the USA, or Australia.
Four men were arrested in connection with the raid on a warehouse in Thailand's capital, Bangkok. The drugs were hidden in cotton rolls, according to the police.
The raid took place after the police received a tip about the drugs.
Thailand is a common transit country for drugs produced in the so-called "Golden Triangle", the region where northern Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet.
