The winner of the competition, KAJ, took home a total of 4,305,774 votes in the final – which was almost a million more than what the runner-up Måns Zelmerlöw received, according to SVT's figures. KAJ's "Bada bastu" is also the contribution that has received the most votes in Melodifestivalen's history.
"Revolution" by Måns Zelmerlöw received 3,278,385 votes, which is the fourth-best figure ever. When Loreen won with "Tattoo" in 2023, she received 3,783,148 votes in the final, and Anders Bagge received 3,464,137 votes with "Bigger than the universe".
Primarily, it was the younger viewers who voted for KAJ, while those 45 years and older tended to cast their votes for Måns Zelmerlöw.
The artists who received over two million votes in total were Grezcula, Klara Hammarström, and Dolly Style.
The interest in the final was great, and the number of voters was significantly higher than during the qualifying rounds. In the first qualifying round, approximately 528,000 people voted, and in the final qualifying round, 400,000. Most people also voted multiple times – the total number of votes cast was a staggering 26 million.
