One of the reasons for the record is that the number of passengers transferring at Kastrup has increased by 27 percent compared to 2024. SAS's increased focus on the Danish capital's airport is said to have contributed.
"Almost every fourth traveler at the airport is a transfer passenger and on their way out into the world. The increasing number of transfer passengers is mainly due to SAS having chosen to concentrate a large part of its traffic in Copenhagen," says Peter Krogsgaard, commercial director at Copenhagen Airport, in a press release.
