The Norwegians have sent a record number of packages before Christmas this year. In December, over 2 million packages were delivered per week, according to Norwegian Post. In total, the post terminal in Lørenskog outside Oslo – Post's main distribution terminal – has handled 21.5 million shipments.
"It has been hectic, but incredibly fun before Christmas. Our employees have really worked hard to deliver packages and mail to all parts of Norway to ensure a good Christmas celebration for everyone", says Petter-Børre Furberg, CEO of Posten Bring, in a press release.
However, 18 packages are still waiting to reach the recipient because they lack a complete address. Post has posted pictures of the packages on the website and urges people to go in and see if they recognize the packages.
