The American football league MLS has attracted a total of 11 million fans to the arenas so far this season, a new record.
It is 100,000 more compared to last year's record figure.
Prior to this year's season, Lionel Messi became the face of MLS when he joined his new club Inter Miami. The fact that the Argentine and other stars are now playing on American soil is one of the explanations for the increased interest, says MLS in a press release.
