National team star Filippa Angeldahl scored a goal when Real Madrid took a big step towards Champions League play. On the other hand, it was a shock defeat for the Swedish team Manchester United away against Brann in front of a record audience.

Angeldahl initiated the goal scoring when Real Madrid won 2–1 away against national team companion Amanda Ilestedt's Eintracht Frankfurt.

Real Madrid's two other Swedes Hanna Bennison and Bella Andersson sat on the bench and were never substituted in.

Manchester United dominated the away match against Brann in front of 16,019 spectators – the highest audience figure for a women's match in Norway – but still lost 0–1.

The old audience record was from the year 2000 when the Norwegian national team drew 15,762 in a training match against the USA before the Olympic Games, where Norway took home the gold, writes NTB.

Ingrid Stenevik became the winning goal scorer for Brann in the 76th minute.

Anna Sandberg played the entire match for United while Julia Zigiotti Olme remained on the bench the entire match.

Injured prestige recruit Fridolina Rolfö was not included in the squad and has not yet made her debut for Manchester United.
