Eleven new singles are checking in to Mexico for the show's nineteenth season - which is being expanded with familiar faces. Tilde Gustafsson, Thea Pålsson and Nicholas Wallner are among those making a comeback.

Rebecca Stella has already filmed one round this year, but she hasn't tired of it.

This feels like a programme I have grown up with, she says.

The first week is the guys in the comedy group JLC who are in control. But Stella thinks what characterises the new season is the romance.

I can't reveal too much but I can say that there is some real love here.

Best in a long time

For Lazaro Floreberg, the experience was better than expected. His plan was not to fall too quickly for anyone - but it went something like this. The strong emotions, combined with several players playing hard, make the season stand out, he thinks.

It's the best we've seen in a long time. It has everything you want: betrayal, love, fights, games, good-looking people. All of us participants can feel it.

Last year, some testified that they “curled as much as they wanted.” Lazaro Floreberg thinks there was a balance. But after filming, he needed a change - he cut off his long dark curls.

After "Paradise" I might not have had all the horses at home. We were going through a lot, and there was a lot of drama. So I focused on myself, on training and getting a grip on my life, a little bit. And then I wanted a new haircut too.

Consent is most important

There have been several rounds of “Paradise Hotel” since two women reported that they were subjected to sexual assault during filming in 2021. Rebecca Stella thinks the past has been threshed out enough. But consent is most important of all, she emphasizes.

And the production does an excellent job with it.

Lazaro Floreberg shares that view.

It's super professional, before anything happens, production comes and helps and checks that both are okay, it feels safer for everyone.

The programme premieres on August 31 on Viaplay and Pluto TV.

Facts: The tours around "Paradise hotel".

In the spring of 2021, two women reported that they had been subjected to sexual assault during the filming of the television program “Paradise Hotel” in Mexico. The incident was only reported to the police when viewers and the media drew attention to the content six months after the actual incident.

A preliminary investigation was opened and a man was suspected of rape and sexual assault. The man was sent home from the filming, but the criminal investigation was later closed.

Following the allegations, the entire season of "Paradise Hotel" was taken down from the Viaplay and Viafree platforms. A number of changes were introduced for the 2022 season, including two single beds in the bedrooms instead of a double bed. The program was accused of being a more boring version.

In January 2024, the announcement came that a new season would be filmed according to the old concept and "go back to the roots."

In 2026, they started again with two seasons per year.
