Peterson's highest WTA ranking was 43rd. That was in 2019. Since then, there have been injury-filled seasons for Peterson. At the moment, the Swede lacks a WTA ranking.
On Instagram, the Swede now writes that she was hospitalized for a week with a spinal fluid leak after a herniated disc in her thoracic spine.
"It will again take some time before I'm back on track," Peterson writes.
