Rebecca & Fiona will perform themselves on the first evening on the opera stage in Stockholm when the ballet "If it feels good..." by choreographer William Dugan has its premiere on October 24. The idea is to treat the audience to "a pumping club night on tiptoes".
Rufus Wainwright is coming to the Opera in Stockholm for an exclusive concert on October 11 – the same day as the new premiere of his opera "Prima donna", with soprano Elin Rombo in the lead role. During the concert, the American artist will accompany himself among the scenery of the performance.
The first opera premiere of spring 2026 is "Figaro separates" by Elena Langer. It is described as a romantic drama thriller and is directed by Linus Fellbom, who has previously set up classics such as "The Barber of Seville" and "Figaro's Wedding" on the same stage.
The classic "Madama Butterfly" by Puccini will also be shown during the spring season, with Sofia Adrian Jupither as director. She wants to challenge the opera's romantic glow around the 15-year-old girl who is sold to an American officer. The premiere will take place on March 21.
In 2025, it will be 100 years since the tenor Nicolai Gedda was born, with two concerts in the Golden Foyer where parts of his repertoire will be performed. The concerts will be held on September 15 and 23.

November 15, World premiere of "Jordens hjärta (Eatnama váibmu)", an opera for the whole family entirely performed in North Sami. Directed by Elle-Márja Eira, music by Britta Byström.
January 17 and 28, The Royal Court Orchestra celebrates 500 years, which will be marked, among other things, with a jubilee concert under the leadership of Alan Gilbert.
March 28, The classic "Cinderella" is set up in a new interpretation by choreographer and director Örjan Andersson.
