Real Madrid center back Dean Huijsen has found himself in a storm after he republished a post on Instagram with racist content, reported Spanish newspaper Marca.
"I sincerely apologize to my Chinese friends. I have inadvertently forwarded content that contained an offensive message," Huijsen said in a statement, according to Fotbollskanalen.
After the Champions League match between Benfica and Real Madrid, Gianluca Prestiannis was suspended following racist words directed at Vinícius Júnior.
The result from the first round was 1–0 to Real Madrid - the return match between the clubs will be played on Wednesday.
