Dumfries joined Inter in 2021 and has since won Serie A twice as well as several domestic cup titles with the Italian giants.
The 30-year-old right-back has signed a contract that runs until the summer of 2030.
Dumfries was part of the Netherlands' World Cup squad in North America and was forced to leave the tournament after losing to Morocco in the round of 32.
