When Barcelona and Benfica met in the group stage of the Champions League, it became a real goal fest in Lisbon. The Spanish giant club could finally win the match against the Portuguese with 5–4.

Now the clubs face each other in the round of 16. There, an example of a Spanish capital derby awaits when the reigning champion Real Madrid takes on Atlético Madrid, which went directly to the round of 16. Real was forced to play in the round of 16 to advance and eliminated Manchester City.

In addition, a top meeting in Germany awaits – Bayer Leverkusen against Bayern München.

This is how the round of 16 was drawn, and the future quarterfinal pairs, half-final 1:

The winner of the round of 16 match Paris Saint-Germain–Liverpool will face the winner of the match Club Brygge–Aston Villa.

Real Madrid–Atlético Madrid against PSV Eindhoven–Arsenal.

Half-final 2:

Feyenoord–Inter against Bayern München–Bayer Leverkusen.

Borussia Dortmund–Lille against Benfica–Barcelona.

The round of 16 will be played on 4–5 March with returns on 11–12 March. The team mentioned first in the pairs will start at home.
