Stefan Kraft made ski jumping history when he won Tuesday's competition in Falun. The Austrian has earned 15,811 World Cup points during his career – more than anyone else.

Kraft received 100 VC points for the victory on the small hill at Lugnets ski stadium, which means he passed Finn Janne Ahonen's previous record (15,758).

At the same time, Kraft now also shares the record for the most VC victories with another Finn, Matti Nykänen. Both have 46 victories in the World Cup.

"It was a very special victory today," says Stefan Kraft according to the International Ski Federation (Fis).

"I was chasing Ahonen for the most points and Nykänen for wins, so making history feels incredible and is a very emotional moment."
