IFK Rättvik withdraws from the women's elite series in bandy.
The reason is a lack of players.
"This is a decision that the players and leaders of the team have made, and we naturally stand behind them. We do not have a sufficient player base to play in the elite series. Many of the players who were crucial for us last season have chosen to stop playing bandy," says Henrik Ivars, chairman of Rättvik, according to a press release.
IFK Rättvik finished seventh in the elite series last season.
The club would also have participated in the Swedish Cup, which begins in just over a week.
It is not yet clear if Rättvik's place in the elite series will be taken over by another club.
