Mladic "will receive all the military and state awards to which he is entitled," Serbian Justice Minister Nenad Vujić announced.
Mladic was called the “Butcher of Bosnia.” He was sentenced to life in prison in 2017 by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia for his role in the Bosnian War and the Srebrenica genocide.
Mladic was 84 years old and served a life sentence until his death.
