Rasmus Paludan, party leader of the Danish far-right party Stram kurs, is awarded 10,000 kronor in damages from a man who threatened to kill him, reports Dagens Juridik.

A 21-year-old man has previously been convicted in Linköping District Court for unlawful threats against Paludan in the spring of 2022, but the District Court did not consider the threat to be such a violation of Paludan's personal integrity that it would be relevant to award damages. The Göta Court of Appeal sees it differently.

The man who is convicted wrote in a post on social media that he wanted to stone Paludan to death. The Court of Appeal notes that it was an explicit death threat and that there is no reason to question that Rasmus Paludan experienced the threat as very frightening.
