The American rapper Chino XL is dead, his family announces in a statement. He passed away at his home on Sunday.
Chino, whose real name was Derek Emmanunel Barbosa, was born in Bronx and released four albums during his career. Most recently, he guest-starred on Rakim's track "Pendulum swinging", which was released last week. He also appeared in films and TV series such as "CSI: Miami" and "Reno 911".
Chino XL was 50 years old.
