It happened in the second period of Saturday night's 3-1 loss to Washington, local time in Sweden. Sheshjorkin's right skate got caught in one of the posts before he fell. The 30-year-old Russian was helped off the ice and could not put weight on his right leg.
"You never want any player to get injured. He's obviously a very important player for us," coach Mike Sullivan said before the extent of the injury was known.
