The New York Rangers have been mixed and matched during the start of the NHL season – but on the road, the team has impressed. Out of ten games, the team has won eight.
During last night's game, it took just over a minute before the Rangers took the lead against Tampa via a power play goal by Will Cuylle.
Despite scoring ten goals in the match, the Swedes scored few points. Rangers' Mika Zibanejad scored the only blue-yellow point via a pass to make it 2–0.
Tampa Bay is struggling with numerous injuries. Six players were missing for the game, including Swedes Victor Hedman and Pontus Holmberg, and defenseman Brandon Hagel was forced to leave injured after just seven minutes.
If you remove seven regulars, of course it's noticeable, says coach Jon Cooper according to nhl.com.
Tampa's Swedish goalie Jonas Johansson replaced Andrei Vasilevskij after two periods. He allowed one goal on seven shots.
