I am very happy, but I do not intend to stay here, Ranefur tells SVT.

Wen Ruibo is ranked number 12 in the world and was of course the heavy favourite, but the Swede wanted something else. After 11–7, 5–11, 11–6, 5–11, it went to a fifth and decisive set.

There, Ranefur, ranked 64th in the world, had the better nerves and on his second match point he was able to seal it 11–7.

"I'm super happy with the match and the performance. I continue to serve well," says Ranefur.

In the round of 16, Ranefur will face either Jang Woo-Jin of South Korea or Tomislav Pucar of Croatia.

The other three Swedes were eliminated in the second round of singles, Kristian Karlsson and Anton Källberg on the men's side and Stina Källberg on the women's side.
