Free solo climber Alex Honnold was scheduled to climb a skyscraper live on Netflix. The broadcast has been postponed due to rain.

On Saturday night, Honnold was supposed to climb the Taipei 101 skyscraper in Taiwan without safety equipment. The climb was to be broadcast live on Netflix, but heavy rain stopped it.

"Due to the weather, we are unable to hold today's event. Safety is our top priority and we ask for your understanding," Netflix wrote on X.

The broadcast is now scheduled for Sunday night instead.

Honnold, 40, is best known for being the only person to have free-soloed the El Capitan rock formation in Yosemite National Park in California. The feat was filmed in the documentary “Free Solo,” which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2018.
