There are only three national broadcasting licences for commercial radio in Sweden. NRJ, which has been broadcasting since commercial radio was introduced in 1993, lost its licence to Aftonbladet's new channel in February.
But NRJ's listeners won't lose their ear candy because of that, as the channel has received regional broadcasting licences in all regions - except Skåne.
Vinyl FM, on the other hand, is closing down after 32 years tonight, but will also continue to broadcast on other channels.
