In the alternative version of the song, which has attracted attention as it has repeatedly been chanted in right-wing extremist circles in recent years, the refrain goes "ausländer raus" ("foreigners out") and "Deutschland den deutschen" ("Germany for the Germans") – slogans with long roots in German Nazism.
At the party in Gothenburg, the German text was sung when the song was played, writes Expressen. The party was arranged by a student organization that is part of Muf Gothenburg together with a local organization of the Free Moderate Student Association. According to Wilhelm Warborn, chairman of Muf Gothenburg, a few people participated in the chant.
"A membership case has now been opened to investigate what happened", writes Carl Hedenbergh, secretary general of Muf, to Expressen.
Such a case can, among other things, lead to suspension, warning or expulsion.
