The artist's formal request is registered as a pending matter with the White House and was made public earlier this week, Rolling Stone writes.
Kelly is already serving 30 years in prison for, among other things, sexual assault, extortion and bribery.
In 2022, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison on a separate sex crime charge. Last year, Kelly requested a new trial and a full pardon from President Trump, citing health problems and a risk of being murdered in prison.
Now Kelly is only seeking a reduction in his sentence.
