Queen Silvia has undergone an operation at the beginning of the week and will rest during April, announces the Royal Court to TT. It concerns a so-called hallux valgus operation on the foot.
The operation has gone well and the Queen is feeling well, says Information Chief Margareta Thorgren and continues:
The operation is the reason why the Queen will take it easy during April until Easter.
The Queen will not have any official commitments in the coming weeks.
Hallux valgus means that the big toe is crooked and points towards the other toes.
