Queen Margrethe has undergone a balloon dilation of the coronary arteries of the heart, the court announced in a press release. She is said to be feeling well, but will remain in hospital for "a few days."
Margrethe was admitted to Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen on Thursday due to angina.
With balloon dilation, narrowed or clogged blood vessels are opened by inflating a small balloon at the site of the narrowing.
