It was supposed to be introduced in June. Now, the quarter-hour trading of electricity is being postponed until September 30, announces Svenska kraftnät.
The reason is that all actors on the European market are not ready.
Today, it is possible to buy electricity at an hourly price. The idea was that it would be possible to trade at quarter-hour prices by the summer. But it is being postponed.
"Tests of systems and routines have been successfully. The reason for moving the date is that certain involved parties are not ready to introduce 15-minute trading on the day-ahead market", writes Svenska kraftnät.
