According to the statement, it is primarily attacks on health care and civilians that the countries believe violate international law.

According to the mediating countries, the attacks could undermine the ceasefire that officially exists between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas.

On Tuesday night, Israeli media reported that the Israeli military was carrying out attacks, including with combat vehicles, on several locations in the Gaza Strip. According to Haaretz, a tent camp in Khan Younis was among those targeted.

Eight people were killed on Sunday night when several residential buildings were attacked. Another five people were killed later in the day, according to Hamas-controlled authorities.

Israeli attacks in Gaza have continued despite a formal ceasefire. On Friday, US President Donald Trump announced that an agreement had been reached to disarm Hamas and secure an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
