Qatar pauses restart of major gas plant after tanker attack

Operations - which have been largely disrupted by the war with Iran - will be kept to a minimum for safety reasons, and the number of ships allowed to fill with gas at the plant will be reduced, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.

The price of fossil gas has risen to almost 50 euros per megawatt hour after the Iranian ship attacks were followed by new clashes between the US and Iran around the Persian Gulf.

Price increases for gas on the European continent spread via electricity trade between Sweden and other countries to households in Swedish electricity areas.
