Qantas Flight Grounded After Bedbugs Found on Board, Passengers Rebooked

A Qantas flight from Rome, Italy, to Perth, Australia, was grounded after bedbugs were found on board.

The drama began on October 9, when passengers on a flight from Perth to Rome began complaining about insect bites, writes The Sydney Morning Herald.

The passengers were given antihistamines, but the medication was reportedly not enough for everyone who needed it.

The return flight to Australia the following day was cancelled because the plane needed to be sanitised. The passengers were offered overnight accommodation and rebooked flights.

Bedbugs are small parasites that feed on blood.
