Djurgården's fans were the worst hit. The entire stand where the fans were held in the Husqvarna Garden was emptied. The spectators had to go out to be searched again before being allowed back in.
By then the match had been going on for a while.
The heat on the ice didn't start until halfway into the first period, when Joe Snively flicked in Djurgården's go-ahead goal. Less than three minutes later, Eddie Levin scored his first goal of the series.
With seconds left in the period, Colby Sissions pushed in to make it 1–2 from the blue line.
Axel Rindell single-handedly turned the home lead around to make it 3–2, after which he assisted Lukas Lagerberg's 4–2.
HV won 5–2.
In Djurgården, 17-year-old forward Marcus Nordmark, son of former big defenseman Robert Nordmark, made his SHL debut.
