For more than four years, Russia has offered high salaries to men who sign up to fight in the war in Ukraine.
Now, Russians who sign army contracts - as well as their spouses - will be eligible for debt relief of up to 10 million rubles, equivalent to almost 1.3 million Swedish kronor.
The needs of the army have been a high priority in the Russian economy since the country launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
