"We expect that, after this is finished - after the active phase on the Iranian track is over - we will receive visits from representatives of the United States, whom we have already met in Moscow repeatedly," Putin said in an interview with Russian television journalist Pavel Zarubin.
The interview is quoted by Russian news agencies and on the messaging service Telegram.
According to Putin, Russia is ready to continue negotiations on the war in Ukraine and "discuss all the details."
On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was “doing great” in the war against Russia. He has previously said that Ukraine lacked the right cards to win.
