Businessman Dmitriyev visited Washington on Monday and also discussed possible energy investments with the Americans, in a future when Russia's offensive war in Ukraine has ended.
His meetings in the US capital came after he met with President Donald Trump's envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff in New York recently, Russian state news agency Tass reports.
Representatives from the US Department of Energy and the Treasury Department participated in the Washington talks.
Peace talks have intensified recently. For example, Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week.
