The focus of the conversation was the situation regarding the conflict with Iran and bilateral negotiations with U.S. representatives aimed at reaching a solution on Ukraine, says Putin's advisor Yuri Ushakov, state-controlled Russian news agencies report.
According to Ushakov, Putin raised proposals to achieve "a quick political and diplomatic solution" after earlier talks with leaders of the Gulf states and Iran's president. Trump and Putin also touched on Venezuela, given "the current situation in the global oil market."
According to the Kremlin, the conversation was "honest and constructive" and lasted about an hour.
