According to SVT, Jenny Rissveds led by just over 20 seconds on the second of seven laps in the race in Monteceneri, Switzerland. Then the Swede suffered a puncture and lost ground.
In the end, the 32-year-old took bronze in the Olympic-distance XCO. Earlier this week, Rissveds also won European Championship bronze in the shorter distance.
Rissveds was the reigning champion in both disciplines.
