Soccer players have previously been suspended for similar incidents and now the Colombian sports journalists' association wants the International Soccer Federation (Fifa) to also punish Martínez.
"Fifa should set an example by issuing sanctions against Emiliano Dibú Martínez, who is not a role model for the younger generation", writes the journalists' association Acord.
