Of nearly 4,000 academics included in a survey, 49 percent state that they use AI at least once a week, which is an increase of 20 percentage points compared to last year.
In the private sector, 62 percent use AI regularly, compared to 26 percent in the public sector and 45 percent in the municipal and regional sector.
"It is important that the public sector does not continue to fall behind", says Hanna Birath, expert at Akavia according to the press release.
Despite increased use, only 38 percent of those surveyed state that their workplace has a comprehensive strategy for AI. When it comes to some type of policy or guidelines, 49 percent respond that it is lacking.
"It is obvious that technological development is moving faster than organizations' ability to control it. Too few employers have a strategy for how AI technology should be implemented", says Birath.
