Smoke development is intense and everyone in the area is urged to go indoors and close doors, windows and ventilation.
The alarm about the fire came in just before 6 o'clock on Wednesday morning. The rescue service and police rushed out and the residents of the house have been evacuated.
They have emptied the entire house as far as I understand, but how many there are I do not know, says the police's press spokesperson Anders Dahlman.
According to P4 Dalarna about 40 people have been evacuated, but no one is said to be injured. The fire is said to have started in an apartment and spread to the roof structure, according to the rescue service for the radio.
We will of course look further into the reason for the fire. Some form of preliminary investigation will be initiated, or has been initiated, but the classification is a bit unclear for now, says Anders Dahlman.
