Walid Raad, Alice Maher, Laurie Anderson, Pio Abad and Alfredo Jaar are among those, according to The Art Newspaper, who have signed "in solidarity with the departing jury".
The international jury for the art exhibition announced its resignation in late April, following a dispute over the decision to allow Russia to participate in this year's event. The jury had previously announced that Russia and Israel would be excluded from the awards ceremony, citing arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on war crimes charges.
