Thousands of people are protesting against Israel's war in Gaza during the film festival in Venice. The demonstration is organized by groups from the political left in northeastern Italy.
The entertainment industry reaches many, and therefore they should take a stand on Gaza, says a demonstrant to the news agency AFP.
According to Gunnar Rehlin, TT's correspondent on site, the demonstration procession is moving towards the festival area, where they are met by riot police.
A similar demonstration was organized in connection with the film festival in Cannes in May.
