The report is classified as "improper influence during voting" and was received by the Swedish Public Prosecutor's Office's National Unit Against Corruption on September 1. The preliminary investigation was initially closed but has now been resumed, with the same classification.
"I cannot go into what the suspicions are," prosecutor Oskar Edvardsson told DI.
According to an anonymous police report, people have driven voters from disadvantaged areas and provided them with pre-marked ballots, Expressen reports.
The crime classification reads “improperly influencing voting by distributing marked ballots to influence the election.” The report states that people “were given ballots for the Left Party with marked politicians.”
No one has been charged with a crime, according to Expressen.
