The meeting between the TV4 journalist and a prostitute took place in November 2023. According to the prosecutor, the journalist arranged to meet the woman and bought sex from her. As evidence, the prosecutor presented, among other things, that she had saved the TV4 profile in her phone book with a sexual rating.
"I see that the district court has taken into account what I think is troubling about the defendant, but at the same time states that it cannot be ruled out that it happened in the way the defendant has described," said prosecutor Kristoffer Kågström.
The TV4 profile claims that the incident was part of a journalistic assignment. The district court believes that the prosecutor has failed to refute the TV4 profile's explanation.
