Høiby was sentenced to four years in prison by the Oslo District Court on June 15. He was found guilty of, among other things, two rapes and physical and psychological violence against a former girlfriend. At the same time, he was acquitted of two other rape charges.
The verdict has been appealed by both sides, and the case is expected to be heard in the Court of Appeal next year. The question of extended detention will be decided in court on July 13.
